Fashion Emergency!

Unfortunately the bridesmaid dress I picked just got discontinued. Booo!

So in light of this event I have chosen a new dress. The shoes are the same or any open toe black shoe will do. I'm not picky.

So here is the dress.

You can find this dress at Alfred Angelo

Bridesmaid's Dresses

Well I guess it's about time I filled some of you on some of the plans for this horse and pony show. I decided to go through David's Bridal. Mostly because most of my bride's maids are in different parts of the country. So here is the Bridesmaid's dress I have picked out. Let me know what you think.
It's Long Soft Capped Sleeve Gown Style 84036 Color Truffle

Here is the link:

http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Long-Soft-Capped-Sleeve-Gown-84036?sms_ss=google&at_xt=4d8693ae8011f3a6%2C0

I just found out it's on sale too. Now the dress is only available online. So you can order it and have it altered at any David's Bridal.

Shoe ideas.

I thought this might work for the shoes. Black does with everything right....
Satin Platform Sandal with Removable Flower Style FLAMENCO

I like the adjustable flower on the shoe. My shoes have flowers on the side of the sandal strap.  I'll be posting those when they come in. ;)
But really wear shoes that feel comfortable to you.

No Jewelry will not  be needed. If you do choose to wear jewelry stick with silver jewelry. During the ceremony all the brides maids will be wearing a shawl.  It's to go with the Irish theme.

It all started with the proposal

Everyone has a proposal story. Be it original, romantic or cheesy. The point is that you have come to this stage in your relationship where you want to spend the the rest of your life with this person. This person that turns your world upside down and inspires you on a daily basis.

In my story that person is Mr. Sean Bishop. We first met at Comic Con dining at an Indian restaurant with fellow storyboard artists. Being the green horn of the bunch I struck up a conversation with Mr. Bishop who was sitting across from me. I remember my ears perking up when I heard he was a board artist for Dreamworks. I won't lie, I was there to network. So I politely asked if he would look at my portfolio and give me notes. He was very open to the idea and encouraged us to meet up back in LA to go over things. Overjoyed with the prospect of a mentor, we continued to chat into the night.

The Proposal was 6 months in the making. He was a sneaky one that Mr. Bishop, but for good reason. The only clue I was given is that it was going to be during an "ER" month, and it was only July. Then one day in Nov. Sean asked me to pick up some things for dinner. When I returned I rounded the porch to the leg lamp window. But instead of that classic glowing leg I find a beautiful bell jar with a single rose suspended in the jar.

I flung open the door and ran into the leg lamp room. There Sean stood next to a full size replica of the Bell Jar from "Beauty and the Beast."

The LED lights in the base of the jar illuminated the room. Music played in the background as Sean took my hand. He gestured towards the base of the jar where a sparkling stone lay in the middle of a light show. Only then did I realize that it was a ring and what was happening.  I started to cry and wrapped my arms around Sean. "Yes, yes a thousand times yes," I said.

It was official... we were engaged. ;)
Later I found out that a friend and co-worker with Sean, Gary Trousdale (Director of "Beauty and the Beast") had blessed the rose in the jar. For someone that was never into the whole Disney Princess BS,  I just became a full  member.

Who knew that if you wish upon a star, dreams really can come true...
